greenhouse effect
took reg again yesterday and i hope i passed. if i don't, i will be really disappointed and i will have to start reflecting.
the exam itself: i felt pretty good about the 1st testlet. the 2nd testlet was a mix...about half the questions were easy and half were hard as hell. the last testlet....there were definitely some curveballs. terminology i have never seen in any of the review courses that i've taken. some questions were real easy though. overall, i felt comfortable about the multiple choice. at least i could kind of tell which questions were pre-test questions. then the simulations....the part that has killed me in the past based on the scores i've received
1st simulation i thought was not bad. i knew this was going to be the simulation that counted based on the problem i received, so i spent more time checking my answers and writing a good memo. overall, i think i did average to above average.
2nd simulation was a nightmare. i didn't have a clue what they wanted on the first tab based on the instructions given to me. i had about 45 minutes left to complete so i just went strait to the memo. i definitely knew this was a pre-test simulation and i hope they throw this one out. i think i only did good on the memo and the research. the actual problem was another story but i just made educated guesses.
so now i wait for the next 3-4 weeks for my score. this is the toughest part. every soon to be CPA becomes OCD and crashes nasba's website. hopefully i wont be getting up around sept 22nd checking my scores at 2 and 3 in the morning.
anyways, on to rants about chicago sports. the cubs look horrible and the bears look good. i've given up on the cubs this year. they are 5.5 back in the wildcard.they were in 1st place about a month ago and then lost 10 out of 13. same ol' cubbies. 101 years...and counting
but the bears, thats another story...WOW, cutler is really good and has impressed me in his last 2 preseason starts. if this is anything how he is going to be in the regular season, i'm gonna have to pick chicago to win the division and go deep. last year the bears had 9 wins with orton as their QB. with cutler, i'm saying 10-13 wins if the defense stays healthy. you know your good when you get booed by your former team. thank you denver. thank you josh and your obsession with New England. nobody mentions the bears when i hear predictions though. i think they will surprise everyone.
bama plays this weekend here in the ATL but ill be up in chicago watching that. i will probably be the only person watching that game. but i'm really looking forward to seeing everyone again at Liz's wedding. should be an incredible time. as always with her
and the us open is here. prediction: roddick vs federer. whats roddick's record against federer? i forgot
tomorrow, class. for the next 5 weeks i will be buried in the house of GAAP. oh, and checking my score 50 times a day
