davis cup

well, the last couple weeks have been very busy. first, after i got back from asia i went to birmingham to see raphael, marion, and steph play davis cup for the swiss team. it was quite an experience. the US ended up beating the Swiss, but i really think if Federer was playing that the Swiss would have won. it was a great time though. i haven't seen raph or his brother in years and it was nice catching up with them for the 12 hours that i was there. raph's brother got us some awesome tickets since he was playing on the swiss team so we got to hang out with all of them. here are some pics.

then my sister came this past weekend to atlanta and she got to see Em for a few hours. it really means a lot to me when my family spends time with Em. i really wish they could see her more often and wish all my family was able to see her. we just spent some time at the house and ate dinner together. time flies and Em is growing up so fast. i miss holding her when she was just a little baby and feeding her a bottle. times i will always cherish and remember the rest of my life.

lastly, im still waiting on my reg score to get back. hopefully will come back this week. im studying for financial right now and its kicking my ass. if i passed reg, then i will just have financial and audit that i have to cram into 1 window. im not too concerned about audit, just financial because of the length of the material and what it covers. so im scared, yet anxious. im just trying to keep my head up with everything that is going on in my life and its very very tough. when im able to overcome it, i will start to feel complete. i think...for the time being.
anyways, spring is here and i can't wait until baseball starts...go Cubbies!! woooo...
and i can't wait to hang out at the pool and play lots of tennis this summer. but my first priority is passing this exam. im praying every night for strength.

exam complete...off to asia

so i took regulation last wednesday...my thoughts, nothing different than any other time i took it. im really not sure how i did which scares me. im starting to study for financial now, but waiting for my reg score to come back is going to kill me. i do not want to keep taking this over and over again. i put a lot of time and effort this time around and i still didn't feel totally comfortable in the exam. some questions were easy and some were tough. now the wait period begins.

well, after i took my exam, i headed off to asia. right now im in bangkok, thailand and then wedensday i leave for singapore for a few days. it is really hot here right now...id say in the mid-90's. but people here in thailand are so very friendly. i think the buddhist faith really rubs out on the people here. its a way of life and people live it out everyday. i started to read some of the teachings of buddha (hotel provides a copy of the book and the new testament) and its actually real simple reading as opposed to other religious "books" ive read. i can see why people believe in this faith and its teachings. theres really no interpretation from this book or "images to create". its just plain and simple down to earth, how i should live my everyday life. it touches all aspects of human life and brings meaning to it. very good stuff....more to come later
